I initially made this bowl as a gift to Richard Rudd, founder of the Gene Keys, in gratitude for his tremendously benevolent influence in my life as a teacher and guide. But I was not able to find a way to bring it into his hands, and I grew impatient of seeing it "dormant" on the shelf in the ceramics studio.
This vessel has opened up a channel through which I am able to materialize my gratitude to the Sky and the Deities, and to anchor a sense of reciprocity in this deepening relationship. In the same instant, I feel how it calls the frequencies of the higher planes further down into my being.
I wished to share with Richard a part of the wondrous artistic inventiveness that his work has unlocked in my life, and in that exploration, I received so much more than I could have imagined.
A humbling surprise, this discovering that there might have been multiple purposes for creating this vessel, one of them being to inaugurate a deeper dimension of my own personal journey into the Seven Sacred Seals and of my relationship with the beings of the higher spheres. I began to interact with this vessel in the same way that I do with my other pieces - that is, to bring it to « life » as an offering bowl, and to create sacred offerings of water infused with prayer and gratitude.
Today, I wish for it to find the hands of the being who feels called to interact with it next.
